MACARONS FOR CHARITY

At Macaron Laboratory, we make macarons in exchange for donations to charities in Japan and around the world. With our macarons, we've delivered thousands of gifts, care packages meals to those in need and raised millions of yen for local and international nonprofits. We are 100% self-funded and run by kids trying to make a difference one macaron at a time.

DONATIONS TO DATE

Macaron Laboratory has made over 15,500 macarons and raised the cash equivalent of over ¥8,120,000 since 2020.
We have sponsored, supported and organized over 40 different projects and initiatives to date!

Here are some organizations Macaron Laboratory has supported in the past few months.

Current Project

Macaron Laboratory is partnering with Mirai No Mori with our forest berry bliss macaron and supporting their mission to empower and inspire children through outdoor learning and adventure. We are also sponsoring a holiday party for more than 40 children from local children's home at the Yokota Air Force Base and providing Christmas gifts for single mothers and children in care this holiday season.

November

We supported domestic violence victims in Tokyo providing a women's shelter in Tokyo food and basic necessities. We helped provide rice, fresh vegetables and fruits, canned goods, packaged curries and meals, bread and other daily essentials for all the residents of the home.

October

Macaron Laboratory sponsored the "Fall Festival" for the children at Seibi Homes. We donated a full ice cream bar filled with tons of toppings and treats.

July

Macaron Laboratory helped to organize and sponsor the "Boutique Project." We gathered new and gently used clothing for women and children living in single parent family homes. We set up a “store” and also provide other basic essentials for the residents.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE LABORATORY

Macaron Laboratory means the world to me. Starting this organization at the age of 10 has been a profound journey, from mastering the art of crafting hundreds of macarons daily to orchestrating charity events. I am deeply thankful for the experiences gained. Over the last 5 years, Macaron Laboratory has facilitated almost 8 million yen in donations to charities like World Central Kitchen, Peace Winds, Asian University of Women and Doctors Without Borders. Additionally, we've directly impacted the lives of individuals in children's homes and single-family homes in Tokyo by helping them build libraries, delivering care packages and providing them with items that they don’t have the budget for. Crafting each of the 15,000 handmade macarons throughout these years has opened my eyes to global inequalities and has made me want to make a larger impact in the world. My ultimate vision for Macaron Laboratory is that we can make a difference, one macaron at a time.
