 There are about 600 children's homes in Japan and they need our help! Macaron Laboratory is committed to supporting them by sponsoring various initiatives, including activities, holiday gifts, essential supplies, mental health resources, basic necessities, and educational materials.

Library Project

Books are essential resources for any child’s growth and development. Macaron Laboratory is dedicated to building libraries and providing books for kids in single parent family homes and children's homes in Tokyo!

Single Parent Support

Macaron Laboratory collaborates with single parent households in Japan to support mothers and children in need during times of transition. We provide assistance by donating care packages and essential items, helping families build a foundation for their new beginnings.

At Macaron Laboratory, we are passionate about supporting nonprofit organizations during times of crisis. When direct assistance isn't possible, we carefully vet and partner with trusted nonprofits to expand our impact. We've proudly supported worldwide organizations like World Central Kitchen, Doctors Without Borders, Asian University for Women and Peace Winds to name a few.

​2025 Donations Delivered

October - December
Project: Support Mirai No Mori, a non profit that empowers and inspires children through outdoor learning and adventure.
Donation: Created a limited edition macaron, forest berry bliss and facilitated almost 70,000 yen in donations.

November
Project: Support domestic violence victims in Tokyo providing a women's shelter in Tokyo food and basic necessities. 
Donation: Rice, fresh vegetables and fruits, canned goods, packaged curries and meals, bread and other daily essentials for all the residents of the home.

October​
Project:   Sponsored the "Fall Festival" for the children at Seibi Homes.
Donation:  Donated a full ice cream bar filled with tons of toppings and treats.

July
Project:  Sponsored the "Boutique Project"- Gathered gently used clothing, accessories and essential items for women and children and set up a “store” for residents of a single parent family home in Tokyo to shop.
Donation:  40 treat bags, 6 months supply of sanitary products and clothing/toys for the kids and women of the home.

May
Project:    Sponsored Children's Day celebrations for kids of single family parent homes and children's homes in Tokyo.
Donation: 120 candy treat bags

Project:     Provided Mother's Day gifts for single parent family homes in Tokyo. 
Donation:  60 gift packages

April
Project: Supported the Habitat for Humanity 2025 Gala by creating "Southern Bliss", a limited edition macaron honoring President Jimmy Carter .
Donation: Raffle prize that consisted of 20 "Southern Bliss" macarons and a 30,000 yen donation made to Habitat for Humanity Japan on the behalf of the winner.

March-April
Project:  Support AUW (Asian University of Women) and to support their mission to empower women through education. AUW is a university based in Bangladesh that encourages women who are the first in their families to get a university education. They also set a goal to recruit at least half of their student body from underprivileged groups across Asia, especially those displaced by political upheaval or war.

Project:  Support Ibasho, a non-profit in Japan that empowers older adults to actively contribute to their communities by fostering a belonging and purpose through a community-driven approach.

January-February
Project: Support those affected by the Los Angeles Wildfires by donating to non-profit organizations providing relief. We supported the Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund, California Fire Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and World Central Kitchen.

December
Project:
Help to make the season brighter for the kids at Seibi Homes and single parent family homes in Tokyo.
Donation: Over 200 Christmas presents, 3 Christmas trees.

Project: Sponsor the slime booth at a community market hosted by the Christmas Village
Donation: Supplies for slime making.

September-November

Project: Support domestic violence victims around Tokyo by partnering with a shelter in Hachioji who are in need of basic necessities and supplies. 
Donation: 200 pairs of children’s underwear, 200 pairs of children’s socks, 30 bra tops, 100 pairs of women’s socks, 40 pairs of women’s underwear and 25 starter kits containing shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads, lotion, and face masks.

Project: Donated books and workbooks to Children's Homes in Tokyo.
Donation: 500 Japanese books and workbooks

Project:   Helped raise awareness about mental health issues through TELL Japan.

 Provided macarons and goodie bags for kids living in Children's homes in Tokyo.
Donation: 100 goodie bags and 50 macarons.

Project:  
 Provided mother's of single parent family homes a Valentine's Day present.
Donation: 20 gift sets that included a 2000 yen gift card, a box of chocolates, 4 face masks, 1 eye mask and lip balm.


Project:   Provided supplies for a Valentine's Day party at Kimono-ie Children's Home.
Donation: Supplies for cookie and cupcake decorating and prizes/decorations for the party.


January 
Project:  
Facilitated donations through Peace Winds so they can provide medical care and emergency supplies to the victims of the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on Jan 1, 2024. 
Donation: 600,220 yen.

December 
Project:     Fulfilling Santa’s wishlist for kids in Tokyo. 
Donation: Provided personal Christmas gifts to over 100 kids at children’s homes and single family homes in Tokyo. 

Project:     Provided sports equipment for kids at a children’s home to attend a basketball clinic.
Donation: 6 brand new Adidas basketball shoes, basketballs and bags with the help of Spalding and Sports Zyuen.

Project:     Built a library for a single parent family home in Adachi-ku.
Donation:  100,000 yen worth of furniture, books and supplies to host a Halloween party plus 100 Macaron Laboratory chocolate macarons.

Project:    Sponsored Children's Day celebrations for kids of single family parent homes and children's homes in Tokyo.

Project:      Donated Christmas treat bags for kids in children’s homes and single-parent homes.
Donation:  Prepared 200 treat bags for the kids of the homes. 

Project:      Support pregnant mothers in single parent family homes.
Donation:  7 welcome kits for pregnant mothers living in these homes. 

November

Project:       Delivered care packages from the NBA Washington Wizards,  taught kids at Seibi home how to play basketball and had a storytelling event with snacks afterwards.
Donations:  8 Washington Wizards basketballs, a full snack bar for the kids to enjoy including basketball macarons from the Macaron Laboratory.

Supported World Central Kitchen’s efforts to provide hot meals to the refugees and people in need in Ukraine and the surrounding countries.

Project:    Provided welcome/care packages from those who are starting their lives at single parent homes in Tokyo.

81 welcome/care packages that include towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body scrub, hairbrushes, lip balm, lotions, mirrors, nail clippers, alarm clocks, tissues, q-tips, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary pads, etc.
36 undergarment sets that include a bra, underwear, and socks.
3 baby kits that include formula, diapers, wipes, and a swaddle blanket.  
February
Project:     Sponsored Valentine's treat bags for teens in children’s homes and single parent family homes.
Donation:  175 treat bags for the kids and moms of the home.

January 
Project:        Donated hygiene kits for teens going through puberty in children’s homes and single parent family homes.
Donations:  33 hygiene kits that contain items like sports bras, sanitary pads, deodorant, body wash, face wash, lotions, razors, toothbrushes, combs, face lotion, face masks, and lip balm.

December
Project:      Donated basketball hoops and balls for children’s homes in Japan.
Donation:  Cash donation of 160,000 yen to Cornerstone Ishizue which was used to purchase 3 basketball hoops and  18  basketballs which were sent to 3 children’s homes.  (This was made possible with the sponsorship of Spalding)       

September
Project:      Provided Halloween treats for single parent family homes and children's homes in the Tokyo area.
Donation:  400 treat bags and decorations to distribute.
 
June 
Project:      Built a new library and dated books to a children's home in Itabashi-ku. 
Donation:  400 brand new books and treat bags for the children's home.

Donation:  Cash donation of 50,000 yen to Special Beauty Japan to help pay for expenses of the show and 150 individually wrapped macarons for all the participants and volunteers.

Project:     Donated a sand therapy kit & helped to build 5 mini libraries for Tsumuji-no-ie Children's home in Edogawa Ku.
Donation:  Cash donation of 205,000 yen to Tsumuji-no-ie Children's home for a sand therapy kit and helped to build 5 mini libraries with over 1000 books in total for the children.

Project:      Sponsored a holiday party and a year of arts & crafts for the Christmas Village children's home.
Donation:  Cash donation of 420,000 yen to fund the Holiday party and a year of arts & crafts.  In addition, donated 68 individual gifts, treat bags and stockings for the children of the home.
